GAS OIL – Also known as Red Diesel, Agricultural Diesel, 35 Second Oil, Tractor Diesel, or simply as (slang) 'Ruby', 'Cherry’ or ‘Red’. This is the fuel mainly used by off-road agricultural vehicles and machinery. It is usually more expensive than Kerosene, but is significantly cheaper than ordinary road diesel.
If, prior to 1st April 2022, you were using red diesel in machinery, generators or for heating purposes in the following sectors you are likley to be one of the sector affected by the changes. ie.
From the 1st April 2022 we will only be able to supply red diesel to your business if the application is for the sole purpose of the following:

Please also note that red diesel cannot be used as road fuel as a replacement for DERV.
